'We stayed for 4 weeks during a frosty January in this lovely cottage close to a beautiful lake. The house is fully equipped for a long break, very private even with owners living nearby and beautifully decorated. Everything was spotlessly clean, the heating worked really well (in the summer there is an airconditioning unit to keep things cool), including a proper kitchen, which enabled us to cook during our stay. The bed is incredibly comfortable! We were treated to a home made apple cake and mini champagne on arrival, the cake was delicious! 

Marten and Antoinette are attentive and responsive and made us feel welcome and looked after. There are bikes and a kanoe to use for guests, which we did not try out due to the plentiful snow and ice that happened during our stay, but we observed many ice skaters on nearby lakes, which was a special treat. Kortvertoef is a gem of a place and we are already thinking of returning to experience it during the summer...'
